一、The edge of the self-adhesive label is curling

1. The adhesive has weak viscosity: appropriate adhesive materials should be selected according to the object to be attached.

2. The pressure of the labeling machine roller is insufficient: adjust the pressure of the roller.

The quality or type of the label surface material does not meet the requirements: When selecting the label surface material, it should be considered whether the labeling object is horizontal or inclined, large or small diameter, single inclined or curved, rigid or compressible. These indicators are directly related to the selection of surface materials. Soft plastic bottles should use soft self-adhesive materials such as PE, PVC, PP without stretching and other composite materials, and hard bottles can choose PET and BOPP materials.

3. Improper selection of adhesives: When selecting self-adhesive label adhesives, first of all, it is necessary to clarify whether the adhesive required for the self-adhesive label to be manufactured is permanent or removable, whether it is one-time adhesive or re-stickable, and whether the product has special requirements for the chemical properties of the self-adhesive label adhesive. For example, when labeling on a large curved surface (circular sheet with a diameter of less than 2cm), the surface material is not suitable for thick or hard paper materials (such as mirror glass copper plate paper), and plastic film or thin and soft paper materials and adhesives with high original viscosity should be used; for containers that need to be hot-filled, the self-adhesive printing surface material should use film materials and adhesives with good original viscosity.

4. Poor control of lamination tension: The properly laminar label is flat and not curled after being peeled off from the base paper, and the label can maintain good tracking after labeling. After the label with too tight lamination tension is peeled off from the base paper, the label is reversed, resulting in the label edge being easy to debond and warp after labeling.

5. Unscientific bottle shape design: The proper design should make the surface of the bottle body labeling area flat (mainly in the oblate bottle body design). If part of the surface of the labeling area is spherical, the total area is large when using paper labeling, and the bottom is easy to wrinkle on both sides after labeling. Adjust according to different reasons.

二、How to solve the problem of warping and bubbling of self-adhesive labels in winter

In winter, self-adhesive labels frequently have various problems, especially on plastic bottles. When the temperature drops, they will warp, bubble, and wrinkle. This is especially obvious on some large labels attached to curved surfaces. So, how can we solve the problem of warping and bubbling of self-adhesive labels in winter?

There are many reasons for this situation. Let's introduce them one by one.

1. If the label material is paper, it has no shrinkage and expansion performance with temperature changes;

2. The adhesive used in the label has low viscosity and cannot be firmly combined with the object to be attached;

3. When attaching the label, there is a gap between the label and the object to be attached, and moisture enters, which will also cause these situations;

4. Surface factors of the attached object, such as the attached object is spherical, and some shapes are difficult to attach. There are oil stains and irregular particles on the surface.

5. Storage conditions after labeling. In some individual cases, the label meets the requirements, but it is not stored in the correct storage environment, resulting in bubbling and falling off of the label.

Solution:

1. Choose a material suitable for labeling in a low-temperature winter environment, such as a special label that is resistant to low temperatures. Strong companies can use self-adhesive labels made of PE materials.

2. The storage and labeling environment of the label should be carried out in an environment greater than 15 degrees in winter. After the label is attached, it should be stored in an environment of 15 degrees for 24 hours before it can be moved to other temperature environments.

3. Use labels with small area and choose a flat, clean and tidy area on the surface of the object to be labeled.
